Les Sapeurs, or the Société des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes (Society of Ambience Makers and Elegant People), are Congolese men renowned for their elegant style and condifent appearance. La Sape is a prestigious brotherhood with its own moral and social codes and also a means of self-preservation and resilience in a challenging social landscape.
