TEDxAmsterdam Impact Program Finalist: Igor Ilanga
Share
We’re proud to share that Igor Ilanga, founder of ILANGA, was selected as a finalist in the TEDxAmsterdam Impact Program – a platform that supports pioneers building ideas with the potential to create global change.
Over a course of 8 weeks, Igor refined ILANGA’s pitch, sharpened the business strategy, and explored funding models to bring our vision closer to reality: turning food waste such as coffee grounds, onion skins, and avocado peels into plant-based dyes for fashion and textiles.
The journey culminated in a milestone moment: standing on the TEDxAmsterdam red dot to pitch ILANGA to a live audience.
“Standing on that stage felt surreal – a huge milestone in this journey. The program gave me tools, confidence, and a community that will shape ILANGA’s path forward.” – Igor Ilanga
We’re grateful for the inspiring network of fellow pioneers, mentors, and the TEDxAmsterdam team who made this experience possible.
This recognition is not just for Igor, but for ILANGA as a movement – to make natural dyeing scalable, accessible, and sustainable, and to bring regenerative color back into fashion.
